


{"id":892,"date":"2018-05-02T18:49:26","date_gmt":"2018-05-02T18:49:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.engenhariacivil.com\/pro\/?p=892"},"modified":"2018-05-02T18:54:52","modified_gmt":"2018-05-02T18:54:52","slug":"workshop-de-sinalizacao-rodoviaria-e-marcas-em-pavimentos","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.engenhariacivil.com\/pro\/workshop-de-sinalizacao-rodoviaria-e-marcas-em-pavimentos-20180502184926892","title":{"rendered":"Workshop de sinaliza\u00e7\u00e3o rodovi\u00e1ria e marcas em pavimentos"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Traffic Signs &amp; Pavement Markings: International State\u00a0 of the Art on Policies &amp; Research<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The US-based Transportation Research Board (TRB) is co-sponsoring a one-day workshop titled \u201cTraffic Signs &amp; Pavement Markings: International State of the Art on Policies &amp; Research\u201d organised on the opening day of the European Road Conference, October 22-24 2018 in Dubrovnik, Croatia.<\/p>\n<p>The downward trend in global traffic injuries has been on pause since 2013, and is particularly notable in developed economies which had enjoyed a steady decline over the previous decade.<\/p>\n<p>Numerous reports confirm that single vehicle accidents remain a particular cause of concern, accounting for 45% of European fatalities. Drivers unable to understand the road environment and make informed decisions are particularly prone to run-off road accidents. The problem is increasingly compounded with an ageing motoring population and under-investments in the maintenance of roadside safety assets.
