Engenheiro Civil – Estruturas

25 Novembro, 2016.

James Christopher Consulting is a medium sized engineering consultancy located in the North East of England. We provide multi-disciplinary design services to the built environment sector. Our culture is based on developing and delivering innovation in our design. We are one of the leading structural designers of facades in the UK, providing design advice to contractors, architects and clients throughout the UK and Europe. As part of our strategic plans for growth, we are planning to open a façade design office in Lisbon Portugal.

In the first instance, we are inviting applications from Graduate Engineers. Candidates are expected to have a strong Master’s degree in civil engineering with a passion and flair for structural design. The design work requires successful candidates to have an interest in the detail of design as well as understanding the wider structural concept. Experience in the use of finite element design using Robot, Solidworks would be an advantage. Much of the work will involve working with clients in the UK so a high standard English (written and verbal) is required. An initial 3 month training period in the UK would be offered to the successful candidates. The office would have a strong relationship with the UK office throughout its initial development period with a view to developing a strong portfolio of work and clients in Portugal and Europe. The salary and package will depend upon the experience of applicants.

Applications are to be via CV with a covering letter why you feel that you can offer and why you would like to work in the specialist area of facade design. Initial interviews may be via phone link. Location of final interviews will be agreed on an individual basis.
